Why your blog post subject line is important

Don’t dismiss the importance of a subject line that clearly communicates what the content in your blog post is about.

Your audience will spend time reading posts that contain information they need or are interested in. And how do they know if the content is what they are interested in? A clear, concise subject line with some detail will help your view rates, and readers will not skip over your latests posts.

A Signature Graphic Design 3 Case Studies

CASE STUDY #1
Man with Golden Arm Title
A while ago I wrote a post about graphic design in movie title treatment. I thought I would have add creative and mysterious title “You Don’t Understand … the Pain”  I thought it was pretty witty (it was a quote from the movie), but it told the reader NOTHING about the content of the post. How many views did it get? ….. Not many.

CASE STUDY #2
Lascaux Cave Paintings
Prehistoric Graphic Design” did much better with view stats. It gave readers a clue about what the post was about.

Perhaps a title like “Prehistoric Graphic Design in Lascaux Cave Paintings” would have even better views stats. Not only is that subject line more detailed, it also includes keywords that are found in the content text, which is good for SEO.

By the way, the Lascaux painting are one of my very favorite art forms. There is nothing that I have seen that can compare with the intimate understanding these painters had with nature and their environment. So take a moment and read the post.
